The standard protocol for EMSCUPLT NEO includes four 30-minute treatments scheduled 5-10 days apart.

As EMSCULPT NEO body sculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment, there is no downtime. However, following treatment some patients may experience mild muscle soreness, similar to an intense workout, but this should not interfere with regular activities.

Clients report that muscle definition, fat reduction and overall toning of the treated area is more evident beginning 4 – 8 weeks after the last treatment and continue to improve for several weeks following treatment.  While individual outcomes may vary depending on your body, best results can be expected 12 weeks following your latest EMSCULPT NEO treatment.

The Emsculpt device actually builds muscles through forced contractions and these contractions additionally destroy the fat cells in the treatment area such as the abdomen or buttocks. You can expect to keep your results for six months to a year, but it is recommended that you keep these results up with a healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise. To maximize your results we highly suggest booking maintenance treatments, which are encouraged biannually (every six months).

During your treatment, radiofrequency heats the subcutaneous fat cells of the targeted area to the point of irreparable damage. You can feel intense muscle contractions together with a heating sensation in the treated area which is comparable to hot stone massage. After the first contractions, you get used to the sensation. There is typically no discomfort experienced by patients.

No. As the HIFEM® energy only stimulates the motor neurons (not the sensory ones) the treatment is not painful. The sensation is similar to an intense workout with a warming sensation in the treated area. Emsculpt NEO® treatments may feel intense but should never be painful. Patients usually say they feel a “pulling” sensation. Our clinicians have total control of the treatment intensity, so patients are always treated at a level that is comfortable to them.

The short answer is no. The supramaximal contractions and the pattern with which these contractions occur are not achievable during personal trainer sessions.

Results from these two treatments are pretty different, and hard to compare. CoolSculpting® targets stubborn fat, where Emsculpt® is used to build and tone muscle. Patients looking for a more toned look and do not have to work on fat loss are great EMSculpt candidates. If patients want to reduce “pinchable” rolls of fat then they will likely be a better candidate for CoolSculpting® because the fat can act as a barrier between the magnetic coil and the muscles, reducing the strength of the muscle contractions during an EMSculpt treatment. Most patients fall somewhere in between these two extremes, and that’s where the consultation process helps to determine which treatment is the better option for you. You may be a candidate for a body contouring technology such as Coolsculpting® or you may be able to use both treatments with each other.
