Ozempic
Ozempic is from a class of medicines called a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists.
Ozempic works by binding to GLP-1 receptors which stimulates insulin release from the pancreas when you need insulin, it also helps to reduce the amount of sugar released by your liver and slows down food leaving your stomach. The combination of these effects helps to lower your A1C and blood sugar levels, and may also help reduce your appetite.

Saxenda
Saxenda (liraglutide) is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It's similar to GLP-1, which is a hormone that your body makes to control appetite. Saxenda (liraglutide) works by acting like GLP-1 in your body. It helps with weight loss by slowing down your gut, thus causing you to feel less hungry.
Saxenda can help with weight loss along with lower calorie diet and exercise in adults with body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 kg/m2, or greater than 27 kg/m2 with a weight-related health problem (e.g., high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol)
